The Name Game

Perhaps if you’re from New England, you understand my kind of inside joke of a blog name and slogan, but for anyone else, let me explain. At Fenway Park they play the Neil Diamond classic song, Sweet Caroline, at the bottom of the 8th inning and during the chorus, the person in charge of the music stops the song and the crowd goes wild filling in the blank with “so good, so good, so good”, which is not actually a line of the original song yet it has stuck and become somewhat iconic.

If you don’t know me, my name is Carolanne, pronounced Carol space Anne, but somehow, people always get it wrong. I’ve been Carolyn, Carol, Coraline, Caro, Caralena, etc etc. However, the most common way to mispronounceĀ my name is to call me Caroline. So I decided to turn the “so good, so good, so good” into “sew good, sew good, sew good” and pay homage to the area I live in and the name I am so often called.
