I participated in the Betty Dress Sewalong hosted by Sew Over It but due holidays on both sides of the pond, my pattern was delayed and didn’t arrive before the sewalong started so I had to play catch up, but more on that later.
Instead of starting something new that would have to take a back seat when Betty arrived, I prepped for my next few projects. I pre washed all the fabric in my stash, which I really should have done as soon as I bought it but hey, now I’m caught up! I cut the Flora bodice since I’ve already used the skirt twice, Anna dress, organized my sewing room (aka the dining room that is full of sewing paraphernalia), cleaned my iron (here is a great method if you find yourself in need) and I gave my machine a thorough cleaning for the first time.
While I may not have a finished project for this week like I have for the last 6 weeks, I feel completely ready to make this the summer of sewing, god knows I have enough fabric in my stash to last me through the next few months.
Here are a few of the fabrics I’ll be using for projects this summer.
