I’m not sorry at all to report that an 8th Coco has entered my home made wardrobe. As an added bonus, its the first of my 6 makes for my vintage pledge! Being a loyal tunnel bear subscriber, I have already watched the 4th season of Call the Midwife (sorry to my fellow US-ers!) and decided to recreate a top that Patsy wore a few times this season (first appearance is in episode 3). I really wanted to make a new something for Thanksgiving this year and had just about decided on the Bronte Top when my Nana gave me a vintage pattern for a knit dress with a super wide funnel neck.
When my navy blue ponte did not arrive in time to make a Coco for One Week One Pattern, I was going to put that project on hold for a bit. Did I really need another Coco? Turns out the answer is DUH! I decided a navy Coco and fun leggings would be the perfect outfit for my baby cousins second birthday party. Lets see, its a cute outfit but its also functional and I can jump in the bounce house without fear of my who-ha showing.
I put a lot of thought into which pattern to use for One Week One Pattern and I’m so happy with my choice! Here is a recap of my week in Coco.
I’ve been wanting to make my goddaughter Julia and I matching outfits basically since the day she was born and Coco was the perfect choice. Its a knit so its comfy whether your 2 (almost 3) or 25, and the style is timeless. The fabric I ordered to make them is a similar stripe to the shirt I was wearing when I first met Julia, when she was a mere 2 days old! I’m a tad sentimental when it comes to her.
